What to do when it looks like this outside?

Try to keep the kids occupied with Baby Einstein DVDs and cook Martha Stewart meals:

It’s bright, sunny poached eggs in tomato sauce aka my new favorite 5 minute meal. The kids even liked it.

N did not care for it, so it’s a supper-time meal from now on.
I also have my mittens all finished and embellished, and hopefully my downstream No-More-Humdrum-Mittens partner doesn’t peek before she gets her package.

The pictures don’t do them justice. They’re nice and sparkly because of the beads. I did run into a fear of over-embellishing. It’s close, I think.

I love those mittens. Is it your own pattern? Because they are definitely boutique-worthy. 🙂

Gorgeous! The embellishments really make the mittens.
